The Way Things Feel

Country towns are strange places. And sometimes things happen, then pass unnoticed, and no-one ever finds out about them. But dying is a serious matter, and so is blindness. It's funny that when you start losing your eyesight, other people seem to lose sight of you.

Completed in 2006, this novella tells the story of loss and an old and unusual inheritance.
One reviewer described it as a 'deceptive' piece of work, perhaps implying that it sneaks up on the reader in a quiet and unexpected way.

A little like blindness maybe.
Or perhaps like a certain kind of love.
